How WeChat verification actually works

The code alone will not finish the job
Creating a new WeChat account usually requires an existing user to scan a QR code and vouch for you. - Wait one to three minutes. An SMS often crosses several networks before it lands; a short delay is normal, not a failure.
- Re-check the format. Make sure the dial code appears exactly once and that WeChat’s country selector matches the number’s country.

- Try another number, ideally from a different country. Public numbers get burned over time. If a line receives everything except WeChat, it is WeChat specifically that has blocked it.

Safety rules before you use a public number

Is using a temporary number with WeChat legal?
