Use a temporary WeChat number for the SMS step
Choose the phone country required by your WeChat screen and open a matching number’s inbox. Check its last WeChat SMS separately from general inbox activity before copying the number.
Match the destination, then request the text
Compare the complete phone number with the destination in WeChat. If it selects SMS, return to that number’s page and look for a newly delivered WeChat message.
SMS may be one part of WeChat verification
Follow any further security check shown in the app. Reading a phone text does not complete those steps, reserve a public number or open previous WeChat conversations.
Keep a personal account’s number under your control
Public inboxes can be read by other visitors. Retain your own number for continued use and recovery. The WeChat help center covers its account and registration options.
