Complete guide to using Receive SMS Live for temporary phone numbers

Receive SMS Live publishes number listings and incoming SMS inboxes. Choose the access type that matches your task: public, members-only or private rental. Each has different access requirements; none guarantees acceptance by another service.

These are completely free numbers available to all visitors without creating an account.

You can browse all free numbers here:

1. Choose a country from the available country list.
2. Open a listed number and use its copy button.
3. Check the sender’s number-format and SMS requirements.
4. Return to the public inbox and look for the message you requested.

A number may be retired or refused by a service. Do not rely on an example number in an article as current inventory.

Public numbers are shared. Their previous use and the destination service’s requirements can affect acceptance; no success rate is promised.

Members-only numbers require a registered account and verified email. They remain shared between eligible members; login does not make them private or guarantee better delivery.

Private rentals have account-specific access during the rental period. Check the available inventory, supported features and rental terms in the account store before purchasing. A paid number is not automatically accepted by every app.

To buy private numbers, you must have funds in your account wallet.
