Complete guide to using Receive SMS Live for temporary phone numbers

Receive SMS Live allows you to obtain temporary phone numbers from multiple countries around the world. These numbers can be used to receive SMS verification codes on websites, apps, and online services.
We offer three main types of temporary phone numbers (Image #1):
Free Public Numbers
These are completely free numbers available to all visitors without creating an account.

How to Use Free Numbers
- Choose the country you want a temporary number from.
- Select any number from the list.
Then select a number such as: +19282850693
You will be redirected to this page:
Click the "Copy" button to copy the phone number, then paste it into any website or app that requires SMS verification. Incoming messages will appear on the number's message page instantly.
Limitations
Free numbers are heavily used because they are public, which lowers their acceptance rate on certain platforms.
Premium Shared Numbers (High-Quality Numbers)
These are similar to free numbers but available only to users with an account. They are free to use and offer much better performance because fewer users access them.

Private Paid Numbers
Private numbers are the best and highest-quality option. Once purchased, the number becomes exclusive to you during the rental period and is not shared with anyone else.

You will find many available numbers. To search numbers by U.S. state, click:
"Browse the large number inventory"
Select Rental Duration
You can choose from several rental periods, for example:
- Short-term (1 hour) – $1
- Medium-term (1 week) – $20
- Long-term (1 month) – $30

Then pick your preferred state and click:
"Search Numbers"
A list of available numbers will appear. Click "Buy Now" to purchase the number.
