If the method is SMS

If the method is a call or another device

Questions about Viber numbers

Can I activate Viber with a VoIP number?

Viber says internet-based VoIP numbers cannot be used for activation or registration. Check the recorded type and follow its number requirements. An old Viber SMS does not change those rules.

Why is Viber using a flash call instead of sending SMS?

Viber can choose call-based activation, including a flash call, or offer another method on its screen. An incoming SMS inbox cannot complete a call-based step. Follow the displayed instructions using a phone or service that supports that method.

What if Viber says I have reached the activation-attempt limit?

Stop making repeated attempts and follow Viber’s wait notice. Its support guidance currently gives a 24-hour wait after the registration-attempt limit. Refreshing this website cannot reset that limit.

Will the SMS inbox show my Viber two-step verification PIN?

The activation text and your two-step verification PIN are different. This inbox cannot retrieve or reset the PIN. Use the recovery option shown by Viber for your own account.

Can this SMS inbox receive a Viber call?
